Fundraising

Fundraising is a fundamental part of our campaign and accounts for most of our income. We rely on your donations as it’s what allows us to do the work be believe is so crucial - raising awareness of Invasive Group A Strep (IGAS), as well as making a difference to the children we support who’s lives have been impacted by IGAS.

Whether it is organising a fundraising event, arranging for a collection pot at your work place or wearing our wristband, no matter how big or small, all your support is greatly appreciated.

Whatever your fundraising activity let us know so we can help provide you with the support you need to make your event a success. Email: enquiries@igasawareness.org

Fundraising Ideas

Auction
Hold an auction of people who can spring clean homes, wash cars or spruce up gardens. A great fundraising idea for schools, students and youth groups.

Bake Off
One of our most popular fundraising event ideas! Give your cake competition a themed twist. Ask someone to judge the winning treat, sell what’s left after the tasting and auction the winning entry.

Coffee Morning
A coffee morning with cake is a great fundraiser and will give customers a caffeine hit and sugary treat.

Chocolate Ban
Giving up chocolate for a day, a week or a month can be a big ask, but abstaining during Lent will make the chocolates at Easter taste even better!

Picnic
Organise a spring picnic and put on some games to raise funds. Get each family to bring something for the raffle.

Plant sale
Take advantage of the warmer weather and organise a village plant sale this spring. Ask friends to bring plants and seeds from their own gardens and let everyone donate in return for some greenery!

Quizzes
Create your own quiz to test your friends’ knowledge. Hold a village quiz night and raise money for us by charging per entrant.

Uniform Free Day
Ditch the uniform in favour of fancy dress or choose a mismatched theme for the day.

Walk/Jog/Run
Organise a sponsored walk/jog/run and take on a challenge - it's something to work towards!

Your story not only has the power to heal you, but it also has the power to help others. So we invite you to share your story; it could give someone strength, keep them hopeful, and even just remind them that they are not alone.

We may use your story on our website and social media channels to raise awareness. You can email our team with photographs of yourself and the person who contracted the IGAS infection.

Thanks! Message sent.
